Push-to-Talk Communications¶
GovCIO COMMANDLINK supports push-to-talk (PTT) communication for voice-based coordination.
The PTT experience is centered on channels. The default PTT group is available to assigned users for routine communication from the main map, and private channels can be created for smaller groups or specific activities.
Using the Default Channel¶
Use the default PTT channel when you want to communicate with the standard group assigned to your account.
Open the main map in GovCIO COMMANDLINK.
At the bottom of the map, select the PTT Channels menu option to open the PTT channel view.

Private Channels¶
Private channels let you coordinate with a smaller group or a specific operational activity.
Note
GovCIO COMMANDLINK users cannot currently create PTT channels in the web interface. PTT channels must be created in GovCIO COMMANDLINK mobile.
At the bottom of the map, select the PTT Channels menu option to open the PTT channel view.

Managing Members¶
Currently, use the channel member controls in GovCIO COMMANDLINK to add or remove units from a private PTT channel.
Users added to a channel gain access to that channel. Users removed from a channel can no longer listen or participate in it.
