GovCIO COMMANDLINK v2 Android Release Notes¶

1.11¶

October 6, 2026

  • This update adds OMNI alert creation, language selection during setup, quicker access to emergency alerts, and more reliable sign-in.

  • Create OMNI Alerts: Compose and submit OMNI alerts with a severity, delivery channels, selected unit recipients, message details, and an expiration time. Review your alert before sending.

  • Choose Your Language During Setup: Select English, Spanish, or Arabic during first-time setup. You can also change your language later in Settings.

  • Quicker Emergency Alerts: The map now has separate controls for SOS and OMNI alerts, and starting an SOS no longer requires the slide gesture.

  • More Reliable Sign-In: Invalid sign-in attempts are handled more safely to help prevent app crashes.

  • This update adds Arabic language support, improves emergency notification handling, makes units easier to find on the map, and refines Settings and alert screens.

  • Arabic Language Support: Choose English, Spanish, or Arabic from Settings to use the app in your preferred language.

  • More Reliable Emergency Notifications: OMNI emergency alerts are handled more reliably, and opening an alert notification takes you to the related emergency.

  • Easier Unit Navigation: Selecting a unit now brings it into view in the map’s unit list.

  • Settings and Alert Screen Updates: Support options are easier to find in Settings, and the alert removal screen has a clearer layout.

  • This update includes better startup reliability, improved battery and location sharing performance, more reliable background messaging, and enrollment fixes.

  • Startup Crash Fix: Fall detection now starts earlier in the app launch flow to prevent crashes when opening the app.

  • Battery and Location Improvements: Location sharing and battery-related work has been tuned for better performance during normal use.

  • More Reliable Background Messages: Background message handling has been improved so backed-up messages are processed more reliably.

  • Improved Device Enrollment: The login screen now scrolls when needed so QR codes stay aligned, and manual enrollment details are easier to copy when entering an enrollment key by hand.

  • This update improves the enrollment experience with a more usable login screen on smaller devices and easier copying of manual enrollment details.

  • Improved Device Enrollment: The login screen now scrolls when needed so QR codes stay aligned, and you can tap the manual enrollment details to copy the entry key more easily.

  • This update improves alert details with clickable links, cleaner message formatting, better light-theme readability, and more consistent emergency action handling.

  • Improved Alert Details: Alert cards now handle formatted messages and links more reliably, while showing call, message, and navigation actions only when those actions are available.

  • Better location direction is now more reliable while stationary by using device heading when movement-based direction is unavailable.

  • The app now handles disabled or unavailable devices more clearly and returns users to sign-in when access needs to be refreshed.

  • Logging now captures more useful app state, including network address, foreground/background transitions, timezone, and local diagnostic files.

  • Branding, app icons, splash visuals, colors, and several screens have been refreshed for the latest COMMANDLINK experience.

  • This release updates Android platform support, including target SDK 36 and 16 KB page-size compatibility for newer devices.

  • Passkey sign-in is now available, with new passkey controls in Settings.

  • Added FallSafe AI detection and reporting.

  • Improved map marker behavior.

  • Fixed a location-permission crash.

  • Improved push-to-talk audio reliability.

  • Improved Push-to-Talk and channel workflows, including better participant management and channel synchronization.

  • Enhanced map and tracking experience with geofence and floorplan support, plus improved status indicators and clustering behavior.

  • Increased reliability of real-time tracking connections and refresh handling.

  • Resolved multiple stability and usability issues across alerts, map status rendering, and bottom sheet interactions.

  • Additional performance and quality improvements
